For more photos like this one click here An excellent team effort displayed to beat Ampthill 29 - 5. The game was fast and free flowing with hand skills displayed to match that of a top class side. Wellingborough's defence was totally committed and it was only through one small mistake under pressure in the closing stages, that led to clean sheet being blemished.
The starting fifteen were playing so well, that we had run out of time to allow all the replacements some game time.
Joseph Szablowski has proved his strength after being moved to tight-head prop with 4 Ampthill scrum turnovers. A good right shoulder allows the other forwards greater freedom to play.
Craig Line and Stephen Evans contested and won much opposition line-out ball.
Joel Smith and Josh Mower having executed a switch for the first time in open play resulted in a try.
Tries: Shaun Dunnett (2), Alex Smit, Stephen Evans and Josh Mower
Conversions: Alex Smit (2)
Well done lads!
It showed today that discipline and communication are key to success.
