Testing conditions with driving rain and high cross winds were to make this a difficult encounter against St Ives. The team that favoured these conditions were always going to have the upper hand.
Wellingborough conceded three tries in the first half through being complacency and a lack of game discipline. The second half was more structured before the substitute bench emptied after injuries to Joel (Hamstring), Sully (Foot) and Alex (Elbow). However the team defended better in the second half and only conceded 1 further try.
