Wellingborough 15 - 15 Dunstable Wellingborough welcomed Dunstable for the first league game of the season. Dunstable started well and took an early lead with a penalty kick. Dunstable then scored late into the second half, however this was closely followed by a penalty kick by Wellingborough winger Bartram. This left the scores 3 – 10 at half time. Dunstable started the second half stronger and scored early into the second half, which left the core 3 -15. Wellingborough then woke up and started to build in confidence and dominated the second half. Wellingborough soon came back with a converted try from Rhys Logan who scored from a strong forward platform, which was converted by Sam Bartram. Wellingborough came back again and scored with 15 minutes to play with a try from winger Dom Driscoll. This levelled the scores at 15 a piece. Wellingborough then continued to take control but just could not cross the Dunstablian’s line. The result in the end was a fair one. The Colts now have a week off after picking up a number of injuries over the last three games. All in preparation for their National Colts Cup game versus Syston.
