Wellingborough Ladies are joining forces with the fire service to tackle the problem of fires in the home. They have teamed up with Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service to work in the community and spread the message about fire safety. They will be out and about doing home safety checks and installing smoke detectors in people's homes in conjunction with the fire service and in return have a new set of shirts to show for it.
They will also help to let people know that the fire service is a career opportunity for women and Kerry York, Captain said: "Wellingborough ladies are honoured to be supported by Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service as part of the three-year partnership".
Mark Ainge, Area Manager for the service said: "The Club represents women from across the county who work together as a team, which is how we operate within the fire and rescue service. They are a committed group of physically active women".
A good agreement that benefits all.
