RFU President's XV Recognition Award 2010 Print E-mail

The Ladies submitted an application to the President's XV Recognition Awards 2010 for their work with the community through the Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service partnership and received this reply from the awards commitee:

President’s XV Recognition Awards 2010

Thank you for your application to the President’s XV Recognition Awards 2010. The Awards attracted a record number of applications this season; many of them were of an extremely high standard demonstrating the excellent work that is being done by teams of volunteers in the grassroots game.

Our highly experienced and exacting panel had great difficulty choosing the winners for the fifteen categories. Unfortunately your application was unsuccessful on this occasion.

This season, the Panel requested that an additional note be made to highlight those applicants who should be ‘highly commended’ for their submission – although not winning an award this year, the Panel were very impressed with your nomination for the ‘Girl Power’ category, were full of praise for the work that you and your club are doing and encourage you to re-apply next season.

We thank you for taking the time to enter and it is great to hear about all your fantastic work that continues to develop in the Community Game.  The winners will be announced on www.rfu.com/volunteer shortly and a booklet giving case studies of the winners and runners up in each category will be distributed to all clubs in the next few months.

The President’s XV Awards for 2011 will be launched in Autumn 2010. We would very much encourage your applications next year and look forward to hearing about more of your great work.  In the meantime, we wish you every success.

Best regards

Carly
