OG’s take the spoils in local derby!

Another lovely calm day at Cut Throat lane saw the OG’s arrive for a friendly fixture! This was U17’s rugby at its best, full bloodied, passionate and no quarter given. After a penalty riddled first ten minutes both sides settled down, it was OG’s that struck first with a concerted try. Then with the last play of the half they extended their lead to 14-0.
Once again the second half was an even affair and the OG’s scored once again midway though the half 21-0 and then with five mins to play scored once again to make it 26-0. Boro then scored through Austin Coleman with the final play.
Boro’s youngsters stood up well to the bigger OG’s pack and several 16’s are in the frame for selection for the Colts over the coming weeks. Callum Hodges was Man of the Match, playing out of position he carried well and made his tackles! Well done boys, let’s take this commitment and attitude into the rest of the season
