Boro survived the thunderstorm but not the cup match as poor tackling and hesitancy around the ruck cost them. Boro found themselves 12-0 down early door before deciding that it may be a good idea to at least give it a bit of a go. A smartly taken try from Dom Meylan Stevenson that was sharply spotted by the match official and missed by the home support got Boro's day going, conversion made by James Maher.
The second half began with another Bedford try before Tommy Jenkins scored another for Boro, again converted by James Maher and suddenly Boro were in the game at 17-14. Bedford then scored two converted tries of their own before a Dom Shaw effort left the score at 29-19.
There were good games from Harry Gayton, Mason Roberts and Sam Whittet. Our thanks go to the U16's that helped out Brad Beetson and Josh Almey. MuMu Man of the Match this week and winner of the meal voucher was James Ritchie.
