U7's Shine At Our First Festival

Dry day at Kettering brightened by the U7's continued improvement with our first win of the season. Thanks to all parents your support is appreciated.

Game 1 - 2nd to ON's
Game 2 - 1st against Kettering
Game 3 - 2nd to Oundle

We started well against a well drilled ON's team matching them try for try in the first half with some great runs from all our players although we were unable to get as many tags as in defence and lost a bit of our shape which allowed ON's to get clear in the second half, this was by far the best we had played this season giving us great hope for the rest of the festival.

We moved straight on to Kettering in our second game and the improvement continued with some excellent runs to score some great tagging and some fantastic passing between our team mates which allowed us to edge out Kettering in the end in a competitive game to take our first win.

We then had a break before our last game and unfortunately we seemed to lose our concentration and started the game slowly allowing Oundle to run away with the game before we got going, however we did finish in fine form with the try of the Festival with some good interchange between the team to release Harry W to go down the wing only to be tagged just short of the line he the then passed the ball wide to Dexter who was in space and sprinted in to score. Great Team Try.

You all deserved your festival medals, wear them with pride.

Coaches Man of the Match this week was Harry W for his excellent tagging and all round work rate and some excellent tries well done keep it up.
