RFU Rugby Aware Workshop - Wednesdy 4th October 2017 @ 7pm
There will be a Rugby Aware Workshop at Wboro RFC starting at 7pm. This course is open to all Coaches, Parents, Senior & Junior players, Teachers and Club Volunteers to attend. Rugby Aware is a chance for everyone involved in Rugby to gain knowledge & understanding on some of the current topics in the game especially on player welfare & player safety, RFU programmes and initiatives, available resources and training opportunities.
The course will consist of two sessions :
Session 1 - Indoor Session : 1 Whats happening in your local rugby community 2 Activate - Injury Prevention Exercise Programme - Study findings 3 Rugby Safe & HEADCASE 4 Touchline Behaviour 5 Signposting / Previewing
Session 2 - Outdoor Session : This 90 minute session will introduce Coaches to the Activate - Injury Prevention Programme. This programme has been developed following a four year study which showed that injuries rates, including concussion can be reduced when players follow a specifically designed exercise programme as part of their training and pre-match warm up.
You may attend either or both of the sessions and there is not cost. Session 2 is specifically designed for Coaches & Players.
